Mr. Spiro is the chairman of the Board's Finance Committee. He is the General Manager of El Pescador in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. In addition to his contribution to tertiary education in Belize through his representation on the UB Board of Trustees, Mr. Spiro is involved with an apprenticeship program for training 14 to 18 year old youths and placing them in jobs . Mr. Spiro additionally volunteers with a neighbourhood watch group in San Pedro.
