Students
Your university ID card is also your library card. A UB ID Card is given to all students registered in UB’s programs and courses, at any campus.
Students must present their valid UB student ID to borrow materials from the Library. If the student does not have in their possession a valid student ID and the Library Staff needs to determine if the person is a student, a student has the option to present another item linking them to UB. e.g. copy of their pink registration form or registration receipt. The student must also present some sort of picture ID to validate their identity.
Borrowers are responsible for materials checked out on their ID cards.
Faculty, Staff & Administrators
Employees of the University are entitled to borrow a certain amount of circulating items from the General Collection. Faculty & staff are encouraged to identify themselves properly to the library staff on duty when borrowing items.
Alumni
No loaning privileges are provided to the University alumni for the time being. Loaning will be allowed in the near future when the Library gains access to an Integrated Library System and all items are accessed electronically.
