Review of Academic Programs

The University of Belize will be conducting the formal evaluation of its academic programs over the next three years as required by its process for program review. These reviews, which occur every five years at the faculty level ,are intended to ensure that programs continue to meet their objectives within the context of the University’s mission and purpose.

The review results in the preparation of a

■  Self-study report, using academic standards in five areas:
→ Curriculum and Assessment

     → Students

     → Faculty

     → Physical Plant and Financial Resources

     → Governance and Administration

■  External peer review team report, and

■  Quality enhancement plan.

Currently, the Certificate in Practical Nursing is undergoing this formal program review process.
