UB Imprint Vol 42: UB Celebrates and Recognizes Faculty, Staff and Partners at End of Year Social

The Holiday Seasons is a time to celebrate and share love with those we hold dearest to us, and on the afternoon of December 20th, the University of Belize celebrated the season with Faculty and Staff attending the President’s Annual End of Year Social. The event was a festive one – with Faculty and Staff from across the country all descending to UB’s Belmopan campus. There was much to be celebrated, as noted by the President, for “2018 was marked by noteworthy achievements and changes at UB” and as a University… faculty and staff can look to “2019 with much hope and optimism.”

The highlight of the afternoon’s Social was Faculty and Staff, the University’s Board of Trustees, the Governor General of Belize, Sir Colville Young, and the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Honorable Godwin Hulse, dancing to the music of Gilharry 7.
The President also took the opportunity to honor those who were completing five, ten and fifteen years of service to UB. He also thank ed the stakeholders who were sponsors for the Second President’s All-Inclusive Endowment Fete.

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of the University of Belize – Belize’s national University, the President of the University, Professor Emeritus Clement Sankat, extends his sincere best wishes to all Belizeans and hoped that the 2018 holiday season was a safe and joyous one. And as we welcome 2019 at UB, the University of Belize would like to say thank you for all that you do for UB in 2018.
